Performing CPR for Adult
- Check for response
- Contact the Emergency Response System (911)
- Open airway, check breathing
- Give two breaths
- Check circulation
- If no pulse, give 30 compressions using two hands, and two breaths
- Repeat cycles of compressions and breaths for five cycles
- When AED arrives, turn ON and follow commands
- Reassess victim

- Check for response
- Open airway, check breathing
- Give two breaths
- Check circulation
- If no pulse, give 30 compressions using one hand, and two breaths
- Repeat cycles of compressions and breaths for five cycles
- Contact the Emergency Response System (911)
- When AED arrives, turn ON and follow commands
- Reassess victim
Performing CPR for Infant
- Check for response
- Open airway, check breathing
- Give two breaths
- Check circulation
- If no pulse, give 30 compressions using two fingers, and two breaths
- Repeat cycles of compressions and breaths for five cycles
- Contact the Emergency Response System (911)
- Reassess victim
**Note: Compressions should be given at a rate of 100 per minute. Each breath should be given for one second. When giving compressions, allow for full chest recoil by removing all body weight from hands between each compression. Reduce interruptions to maximize chance of survival.**
